Pink lemonade eye make-up.

Hello girlies. since summer is here with a bang, we all want to do something that makes our eyes pop. So here is a step by step eye tutorial for you guys to give the summer an extra feel :)

P.S: please excuse the weird camera quality. I used my phone's camera, since my digital camera passed away.
Step 1: - prep you eye up with a primer, concealer and some loose powder just to make sure that your eye does not crease.
Step 2: - Apply yellow eye shadow on half of your eye lid.
Step 3: - Apply pink eye shadow on the rest of the lid, making a soft outer corner V.
Step 4: - Blend the two shades properly. To give an excellent blending effect, you can use a light orange shade and blend between the two shades.
Step 5: - Apply liquid eyeliner.
Step 6: -  Apply pink eye shadow on the lower lash line and smudge it with a little bit of black eye shade.

to finish it, curl your eyelashes and apply mascara.

The Final Look.

Yay. I hope you girlies like it. :)

What is my blog about!?

Hey there pretty! Yes you.  how are you doing?
I am here to talk about my blog. What it is really about. How can you benefit from it?

So here it is. –
I have spent hours in front of the computer ogling and goggling at those cosmetics which I can’t afford to buy. With my limited pocket money and on going university, I can’t just seem to take money out to buy all those branded cosmetics. And I am sure that there are many of you out there who are going through the same.
So, whatever make up I can buy, whatever D.I.Y beauty treatment that works miracles, goes on this blog. I will try my best, literally my best to help you girlies buy affordable make-up from the most accessible places.
And believe me, there are A LOT of blogs out there, doing their best to give you reviews of branded cosmetics. I am not saying that they are not doing a job well enough. They are doing an AMAZING job. So here is a shout out thumbs up to you guys! Keep doing the awesome work (y). – anyway, so on this blog, I am going to introduce affordable make-up, and mostly other beauty products and home made remedies that are going to work wonders.

So keep following this blog and I will make sure never to disappoint you J

Lots of love.. Ayesha

DMGM Kohl pencil's alternative - Sweet touch Eye Pencil.

Love DMGM's Crayon Kohl pencil? Can't afford to buy it? Well here is a cheap alternative for it: Sweet Touch Eye Pencil :D

It has the exact same qualities like that of DMGM's Crayon Khol Pencil.

DMGM Crayon kohl Pencil - Review & Swatches.

I have a HUGE collection of black eye pencils/ eye liners/ kohl pencils. And my most favourite being the DMGM Crayon Khol pencil.

What they claim:

Smudged swatch.
Decorate the windows of your soul with style. Crayon Kohl pencil can be used to create a sharp line for a softer, smoky effect. They are long-lasting and won't crake or streak. It comes in 2 luxurious colors that adds depth & definition.

What is my review:
Out of all the eye pencils I have used, this one is THE best. It does not smudge or streak. Does not leave a black smudge on the crease (which usually many eye pencils do). It is long lasting. And Believe me when I say that I have worn it for 6 hours straight without any touch ups and it did not smudge. It has a creamy base and its application is smooth.
Also, before I found this pencil, the hashmi kajal was what I lived by. But this pencil just works wonders. When you smudge it, it gives a great smokey effect which is great.
I can not find any faults with this pencil and I doubt it that I will find any in the near future. The only trouble with this pencil is that it is too fragile. It breaks easily when you sharpen it, so you have to be very careful while sharpening it.

Price: I got it for PKR 550/- from Naheed Super store. But you can easily find it from any super store where they have a couple of branded cosmetic stands. Options being, Agha’s, Shazz, Naheed and Chase.

Neutrogena: On-the-Spot Acne Treatment - Review.

I am a huge fan of Neutrogena products. And most of the treatments I have are of Neutrogena. One of the most amazing products that Neutrogena smartly introduced is On-the-Spot acne treatment. Although this product is eons old, I discovered this lately (or maybe they just recently introduced it in Pakistan) and now I am head over heels in love with this product. It is a small tube but it has a huge amount of product inside. It works for a pretty long time.

What the product claims:
On-the-Spot® Acne Treatment is a spot acne treatment that provides maximum-strength results without drying out your face. It goes deep down in pores to kill the acne bacteria that cause pimples and helps stop new ones from forming.

Some medicated spot treatments contain high doses of Benzoyl Peroxide that can irritate skin, causing redness and dryness that can make acne worse. On-the-Spot® Acne Treatment contains just 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, yet it provides the same maximum level of effectiveness with 70% less irritation.

Fight acne and get maximum-strength results with an acne spot treatment that won't dry out your face.

Oil-free
Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores)
2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide

What is my review:
Considering what miracles this product does to your skin, I am a huge fan of it. I have majorly oily skin and since this product is oil free, it helps to tone down the levels of oil on my skin. I have a healing-from-acne skin but sometimes, major breakouts appear and I use this cream on those spot (usually at night) and when I wake up in the morning, the spot considerably reduces, with no sign of redness or irritation.
This product is definitely worth buying. I’d give it two thumbs up. And if I had more thumbs on my hand, I’d definitely give it those too.

Price: I got it for PKR 350/-. Easily available at major supermarket stores like Chase, Agha's & Naheed.

D.I.Y Make-up Remover.

Finished your awesome make-up remover? Too broke to buy the same awesome make-up remover? Guess what? =D Make an even more awesomer make-up remover ALL BY YOURSELF. And that too in the cheapest budget you can imagine! :D

All you need is:
-         Rose water/ Aloe-Vera water
-         Baby oil (with an Aloe-Vera base)
-         Baby Shampoo (preferably a no-tear formula)
-         Olive oil (optional)
-         Empty bottle with a small hole on the top (use your old make-up remover bottle)

What to do:
Take half a bottle of rose water, add 3 tablespoon baby oil, 1 table spoon of baby shampoo and 1 table spoon of olive oil. And there you have it. The most amazing make-up remover.
Swatched make-up.
Just one swatch of the make-up remover.

Pointers:
-         If you are taking Aloe-Vera water instead of Rose water, then you DO NOT need baby oil with a base of Aloe-Vera. Any baby oil will do.
-         Since oil does not mix with water, shake it well before using.
-         Having an Aloe-Vera ingredient is must, because it helps to sooth irritated skin.

Trust me, I have used a lot of make-up removers and wasted money on them. This is the most cheapest of all make-up removers and awesome too! =D
You can get all these items from any superstore.

Price list:
Rose water – under Rs.100 (I had it at home, so I can’t say)
Baby oil, Rs.135
Baby Shampoo, Rs.85
Olive oil – Rs.65

DISCLAIMER: I have not copied this technique from anyone! I read this on the internet and improvised it myself.

Profusion Beauty Satin - Review & Swatches.

I had never heard of profusion cosmetics until I visited a leading supermarket and saw Profusion's Beauty Satin Light eye palette. I swatched one of the eye shadow on my hand and oh boy, was it good!

It has 24 high baked eye shadows and they are pigmented good enough. This palette also has a liquid eyeliner and 2 application brushes.
I have recently started doing proper eye make up and this is just what I needed to begin with. These eye shades have a light shimmer satin finish to its application. The black & silver tones of these eye shades are awesome for smokey eye make up and the white works best for highlighting the brow-bone.

Oops. Heh. I broke the dark brown shade. :$
And here are the swatches :)

Basically these eye shades have good pigmentation. Not too high and not too less. Just perfect. And the best part? There are rarely any fall outs.

Considering the works of this palette, it is not at all expensive. I got it for Rs 950/- only. But you can buy it only from http://www.mascaramafia.com/ only for Rs. 750/-

D.I.Y - Egg Pore Strips.

Since summer is here with a bang, taking care of your skin is very important. Our pores open up due to the heat and excrete oil which mix along with the dirt on our face and stick to our skin, causing acne breakouts.

Egg has many qualities that can help your skin look beautiful. It tightens your skin and moisturizes it as well. It reduces skin irritation and also reduces puffy eyes.

These D.I.Y pore strips are very beneficial during the summers and are very cheap. If you go for regular facials and deep cleansing, then you can save a lot of money by just doing this twice a month. All you need is an egg and a tissue paper. :D

How to do it? –
Separate the egg white from the egg yolk. Put them in two different bowls.
Take a 2x ply tissue, separate them and tear/cut it into small strips. Wash your face thoroughly with warm water so as to open up your pores and towel pat dry. Apply a thin layer of egg white on your face and quickly cover it with the tissue strips. Leave it on for 10 – 15 minutes or until it dries. Slowly pull the strips from your face in an upward motion. After removing them very carefully, wash your face again with warm water and towel dry. Now take the egg yolk and apply it on your face and let it dry. As the egg yolk dries, it will harden on your face. Wash it with water and you will feel the smoothness on your skin. This smoothness lasts up to 2 weeks and your pores remain tight.
I usually ice my skin after washing my face so as to close the remaining open pores.

The tissue strips.
Lol. This is what you are probably going to look like.
What are the cons? –
It can be a bit messy. Remember to do it near the wash basin.
The smell. Although it is not that strong that it will disgust you and nor does it remain on your skin, but do not leave the egg in the washroom. After you are done with this remedy, throw the remaining egg away or ask your siblings to do it too! :D

Neutrogena: Visibly clear 2 in 1

Neutrogena has never failed me. Its products always works wonders. And so has its Visibly Clear 2 in 1 wash/ mask. This product has become an essential to my daily routine and I doubt any other product can replace this new found happiness.

What this product claims:
Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask is a unique cleanser that can be used in two different ways to help keep skin looking clear and healthy. Use Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask as a daily face wash to cleanse away make-up, dirt and excess oil and help prevent blemishes. Use Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask as a weekly face mask to cleanse deep down into pores and condition skin, leaving it soft, smooth and healthy-looking.

My experience with this product:
One of the best things in life. Honestly. Neutrogena has made a really smart move coming up with this product patenting micro-clear technology. Since I have major oily skin (sometimes I feel that the oil reserves of Uganda are on my t-zone), this product has done wonders for me. I have had no major break-outs since I have been using this product. And after you've washed your face with this product, you will feel the most amazing cooling effect. And trust me, this is what you really need during the summers. To further top that, it makes your feeling soft and smooth, just like it claims.

How do I use this product? Well I take a little blob of this wash on my hand and lather it on my face. And then wash it off. - the same way you'd do it with any other face-wash.
How does the mask work? - Take a blob of the product on your hand and spread it on your skin. Leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse. I usually do it during my showers, when I condition my hair. So yeah.

Why wouldn't you like this product? - Since its for oily skin, normal and dry skin people wouldn't really like it, since it might dry up your skin completely. Besides that, I doubt there are any other negatives of this product.

Its definitely worth buying. Although its not cheap, it is not expensive either. Its Just for Rs. 560. Or Rs. 570, depending on what place you are buying it from. I got mine from Chase (Shaheed-e-Millat).
